Jason was a Geek since birth. One of his first favorite movies was the Star Wars Trilogy on VHS tape when his dad was stationed in Germany and once he got his first NES in the third grade he was hooked as a Gamer. An Army Brat for 18 years, he moved around and often found fast friends in those that shared interests in Transformers, He-Man, and RPGs. Since then he has been both Geek and Gamer and constantly seeks to expand his experiences within the culture.
Jason has a Bachelors of Art degree in Studio Art with Minors in Art History and Communications from the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio, TX. He is currently working on his Masters Degree in Communications with an emphasis on Convergent Media Strategies and Cultural Studies at the University of the Incarnate Word. Jason leverages both his education and his corporate experience to evaluate how Geek and Gamer culture can and does impact the world outside of our culture. His goal is to bring acceptance of the many aspects of our culture and show how they can be applied successfully in both academic and corporate arenas.
